# Terms of Service

## 1. About Us

- **Scope:** These Terms apply to all bookings, purchases and use of our website and studio. By booking or purchasing, you accept these Terms, together with our [Return & Refund Policy](https://laisleta.studio/policies/refund-policy) and [Privacy Policy](https://laisleta.studio/policies/privacy-policy).

## 2. Our Services

- **Painting sessions:** Paint-your-own pottery sessions at our studio, booked online for a specific date and time.
- **Take-home painting kits:** Purchased online and collected at our studio.
- **Gift cards:** Can be used for sessions, kits and ceramics at our studio.
- **No shipping:** We do not ship any products.

## 3. Bookings and Contract

- **Online only:** Sessions can only be booked online. Walk-ins are not possible.
- **Contract:** A contract is concluded once you receive our booking or order confirmation by email.
- **Correct details:** Please check your confirmation and let us know immediately if anything is incorrect.
- **Changes and cancellations:** Rescheduling, cancellations and no-shows are governed by our [Return & Refund Policy](https://laisleta.studio/policies/refund-policy).

## 4. Prices and Payment

- **Prices:** All prices are in euros and include IGIC (Canary Islands tax) where applicable.
- **Booking fee:** It covers the studio fee and a ceramic credit that can be used during your session. Additional ceramics and glazes are paid for on site.
- **Card only:** We accept card payments only. Cash is not accepted.
- **Errors:** We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors before confirming an order.

## 5. At the Studio

- **Arrival:** Please arrive on time. Late arrival does not extend your session.
- **Minors:** Children and minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- **Clothing:** Glazes can stain clothing. Please dress accordingly. We are not liable for stains on clothing or personal belongings.
- **Care:** Please treat our equipment, ceramics and fellow guests with care. You are responsible for damage you cause intentionally or through negligence.
- **Right to refuse:** We may refuse or end participation for anyone who behaves inappropriately or endangers others. In that case, the booking fee is not refunded.

## 6. Firing and Collection

- **Finishing:** All painted pieces are glazed and fired in our kiln by us.
- **Results:** Colours often look different after firing. Small variations, drips or imperfections are part of the handmade process and are not defects.
- **Kiln damage:** In rare cases, a piece may crack or break during firing. If this happens, we will offer you a replacement piece or a refund of the price of that piece. Further claims are excluded, except as set out in Section 8.
- **Collection:** Finished pieces can be collected as described on our [Pick Up Times](https://laisleta.studio/pages/pick-up-times) page.
- **Uncollected pieces:** We hold finished pieces for **4 weeks** after firing. After that, uncollected pieces may be disposed of without compensation. If you can't make it in time, please contact us and we'll try to find a solution.

## 7. Take-Home Kits

- **Firing:** Pieces painted at home can be brought back to our studio for firing. Firing conditions are shown on the product page.
- **Our responsibility:** We are not responsible for results caused by incorrect application or unsuitable materials used at home.

## 8. Liability

- **Unlimited liability:** We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health.
- **Other cases:** Our liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage, to the extent permitted by law.
- **Belongings:** We are not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.
- **Your statutory rights:** Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee, remain unaffected.

## 9. Use of Ceramics

- **Food use:** Our glazes are suitable for tableware once properly fired by us. We recommend hand-washing painted pieces to preserve the colours.
- **Heat:** Pieces are not suitable for use on stovetops or open flames.

## 10. Photos

- **Our photos:** We may take photos in the studio and of finished pieces for social media and marketing purposes. Please let us know before or during your session if you do not want to appear in photos. We will not publish photos of minors without the consent of a parent or guardian.

## 11. Website and Intellectual Property

- **Our content:** All content on our website (texts, images, logos, designs) belongs to La Isleta Studio or its licensors and may not be used without our permission.
- **Availability:** We do our best to keep the website accurate and available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

## 12. Privacy

- **Personal data:** We process personal data in accordance with our [Privacy Policy](https://laisleta.studio/policies/privacy-policy).

## 13. Complaints

- **Complaint forms:** Official complaint forms (*Hojas de Reclamaciones*) are available at our studio.

## 14. Governing Law

- **Spanish law:** These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
- **Courts:** Consumers may bring claims before the courts of their place of residence.

- **Updates:** We may update these Terms from time to time. The version valid at the time of your booking or purchase applies.
